Great activity to do after reading the picture book 'Meet Captain Cook' by Rae Murdie.
Students imagine that Captain Cook had an iPhone to record his journeys for the history books. They will use higher order thinking skills (applying and evaluating) to complete this activity and demonstrate creatively what they have learnt about Captain Cook.
- What would his wall paper be? Why?
- Who did he message and receive messages from? What were they
- What would his Facebook status be?
No fuss desktop publishing allows for the student work to be the hero of the activity. This activity allows for historical analysis and studying of perspectives.
