Celebrate Pi Day with this hands on activity that has students measuring and exploring the world of circles and circumference. Science, Math, ELA, and Social Studies are incorporated into the tasks. Set includes 24 scavenger hunt/task cards worksheet, and answer key in both black and white and color (for your printing preference). Also includes a b/w and color blank cards page and a bonus Captain Pi coloring sheet.
This activity is not intended to address figuring circumferences using the formula but could be modified for older grades.
**Note: you will need to have string, scissors, and rulers available to use for measuring. You will also need a pencil, basketball, and softball for students to measure.
Teacher can determine if they want students to measure in standard or metric units.
