This lab/activity was designed to challenge students into applying their critical thinking skills and get them engaged in introductory physics. It is a fairly open-ended activity which is great for students that are are different learning levels in the same classroom. I have done this for the last 5 years and it is always very exciting. I have done this as group activities as well as solo projects and it works great both ways. I wrote 2 weeks as the teaching duration, but it could be shortened or lengthened depending on the quality of product you expect from your students.
-Sample pictures of projects
-Outline/timeline for project and what to expect from students (I wrote out a 9 day plan. This could be expanded or contracted depending on your available time)
