Play an engaging, fun game with students to review for testing, at the end of the year, or any time that you need a fun review activity. This is an "I Have...Who Has" game for a class ranging from 15 to 32 students. This game is a mixed review of literature, reading, and reference vocabulary (see full list below).
To play "I Have...Who Has" the teacher prints one page of cards and cuts them apart. The cards are mixed up and distributed, one per student. The student with the card marked "START" reads out the "Who has" statement on his or her card. Students must listen to hear when their own "I have" statement matches the "Who has" statement that has been called. For instance, "Who has the genre word that means a pretend story?" - "I have fiction
Terms included in the full 32-card set: homophones, synonyms, atlas, genre, characters, simile, paraphrasing, antonyms, bibliography, point of view, almanac, setting, visualization, connections, plot, sequence, climax, conflict, dialogue, fiction, foreshadowing, thesaurus, hyperbole, author, onomatopoeia, nonfiction, dictionary, rhyme, resolution, encyclopedia, alliteration, database.
