This Elementary Music Card Set includes loud and soft cards and an activity for Listening-Analyzing. Download, print, and cut apart!!

This colorful elementary music card set will be a great addition to your lessons as you teach Loud and Soft sounds and guide students as they discover the language of music—piano-forte.

  • Activities and assessment ideas
  • 20 card pictures of loud and soft
  • 6 label cards—Loud-Soft, forte-piano, f-p
  • Suggestions for reinforcing literacy skills to satisfy the new mandates for including those skills in every subject area.

First establish the concept of the opposite meanings of loud and soft sounds. Even though this should be an easy skill for kindergarteners and first graders, they will need to solidify and “fine tune” this skill as they develop the ability to hear the more subtle nuances between dynamic markings.

Remember, even what you think may be a simple skill may not be for your younger students. Students associate high-low with loud and soft. Sometimes even faster means louder and vice versa. Different cultures have different meanings for words.

NOTE!! These cards are also include in the Music Card Bundle—Loud-Soft, Fast-Slow, High-Low. The cost for all of these sets will be increasing SOON!! I am adding a fun Powerpoint to each of these card bundles for online and in-class fun! If you purchase now at this low rate, I will send you the updates FREE. Just email me with your purchase order no.
