In this card sort activity, students work in a group of three. Each student is given six different cards; each card consisting of one linear equation that is to be graphed. Three of the six cards must be graphed using the slope and y-intercept (students must rearrange the equation into slope-intercept form first). The remaining three cards must be graphed using x- and y-intercept only. After graphing, students answer questions about each line. When the students in the group have answered their cards independently, they collaborate with others in their group to pair graphs that are alike. More detailed instructions can be found on the first page of the preview. The preview also shows all cards and the answer key.
