This activity exposes students to some new careers titles through a light, engaging, teacher-led game. The principle of the game is modeled after the game "Balderdash" where you get points for sounding convincing, even though your answer might be totally ridiculous (and funny!)...
This package includes a PPT which can be edited to suit different careers of your choosing (thought it already includes a diverse 6), a scorecard for each student which explains the rules and play of the game, and "answer sheets" for the students to participate.
I use this game to create a little buzz before our school's annual Career Fair event. The kids love it and it has us all laughing! But it could also pair well with an upcoming field trip to a specific business institution, where the PPT could be easily modified to reflect different job titles in that field. I could also see this working really well in a more advanced foreign language class, pushing students to learn new vocabulary while practicing grammar.
