These materials are part of a Careers Project (also available separately along with a project rubric) I did with my students. I created this multi-disciplinary project to allow students to explore a career and to help them discover the educational requirements, the employment history, the application process, and the typical lifestyle led by someone with that career. This project takes between 6-8 weeks to complete and really helped my students realize the value of an education. These materials do NOT include lesson plans; however, they do include a project description; a partner contract for students; a final project rubric; a list of degree, career, and living condition(s) from which students can choose or teachers can assign; a guide for researching information on the internet; a guide to taking research notes; a cost of living worksheet; housing worksheet; recreation and entertainment worksheet; pay stub worksheet; degree descriptions; and much more. These materials are very easy to use and/or adapt.
