My students benefit from seeing examples of quality writing and publishing, and these 3 examples of a published career research paper greatly helped them understand the task and what was expected of them for the Georgia CCRPI 5th Grade Career Portfolio Project. After students research and write a report a career of their choice, I let them choose how they want to publish their work. This resource includes an example of the fifth grade project published as a Prezi, PowerPoint, & Word document.
I also print these models to differentiate for students needing additional support while researching and drafting. Students are able to refer to quality writing to improve their own writing.
All versions of the career report have identical writing and include:
3 Body Paragraphs
Topic & Closing Sentences
3+ Supporting Details

There is a second PowerPoint included in this file, which highlights the topic & closing sentences and three supporting details to further assist students understand exactly what their own writing should include.
The Prezi is located online and linked to a Word document within this resource.
