Using Carmen San Diego is my student's favorite review game! They love listening to the theme song (even though they don't want to admit it).
The goal is to find where Carmen San Diego has taken whatever she has stolen (I try to pick a place that connects to what we have been studying).
You can break it up in multiple teams or two (I change it up).
I will ask a question and the teams must write the answer on the white board (they can do this on their own or as a group). Whoever raises their board first with the right answer gets a point AND a clue.
The clue is a trivia fact about the place Carmen San Diego is hiding with the "stolen goods"
When all the questions have been answered, the teams have 2 minutes to gather their clues and guess which city Carmen San Diego is in. The clues get easier as the questions get harder so they really want the clue to the last two questions.
If they guess the correct city, their team gets 2 extra points.
