This document offers two versions of an activity over Spanish slang words used in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. Students use context clues to determine the meaning of the slang word or prhase, pulling a more traditional Spanish word or phrase from the word bank.
Pages 1 and 2 have the clues in Spanish; pages 3 and 4 have the clues in English except for the slang word or phrase. Pages 5 and 6 are the answer key.
This makes a nice addition to a cultural unit on the Spanish-speaking Caribbean and also serves well something fun for after a quiz, during a shortened day, and the like.
