I illustrated an entire cartoon periodic table. This booklet makes students research and design their OWN cartoon character for an element too! By combining artistic creativity and scientific knowledge, students can learn about the periodic table in an engaging and thus memorable way.
Two pages are devoted to every element. The first page is informative; it displays my cartoon character and a brief explanation of the element. The second page is the worksheet that guides students on how to design their own cartoon character of the same element too. Note that my cartoon character is not meant to be copied; it is meant to be an example that gets the student's creative juices flowing.
These worksheets can be used to introduce younger students to the concept of elements and the periodic table, or to review the physical/chemical traits and applications of the elements!
This free pack has worksheets and information sheets for the first five elements: hydrogen, helium, lithium, beryllium, and boron. Look through the products in my TpT store if you want the entire periodic table, a specific family of elements (e.g., alkali metals, halogens, noble gases), or just a single element!
