The siege of Lord Garrick of Sabule's castle begins at 2:30 in the afternoon. It is up to you to determine when each siege engine needs to leave the army to be in position for the siege.
After determining the time for each siege engine to head out, students will assemble a project page of the castle surrounded by the siege engines with correct time slip labels.
This activity comes with two options for solving the elapsed time problems.
The first is using arrow language to solve the problems. An information page is included, but you can also get the information page as a freebie.
The second option uses clocks to solve the problems. Each option has its own worksheets and project pages.
♦ Teacher Information Pages
♦ Arrow Language Worksheet
♦ Clock Worksheet
♦ Siege Engine Project Pages for both options
♦ Answer Keys
Castle Siege is also an activity in the Quest for the Kingdom-End of the Year Math Review Project: Gamification Style.
The format is a bit different for the game but it is the same activity. Check it out if you are interested!
