Do you dissect a cat with your students? In my Anatomy & Physiology course, we spend the entire first quarter dissecting a cat! Students are required to dissect, memorize, and locate 110 muscles and other anatomical structures. Wonderfully, these structures are also found in humans! The dissection is a great way to provide my students with a strong foundation in the ways bodies work for the rest of the year. I have created this 27-page cat dissection manual to help guide my students through the dissection. Included in the manual are pictures of each section of the dissection (ex. neck, upper arm, leg). Also included are helpful hints for dissecting each section, memory hooks to help them remember specific muscles, and I have even included my dissection policies. The manual is printer ready and the main resource you need (other than the cats) to have a successful cat dissection.
