At the beginning of the year, I do things like this that are a 100 chart. However, by the time March and Read Across America roll around, my kindergarteners are capable of using coordinates to plot on a grid. I model a few coordinates before letting them attempt it on their own, but most of them understand the concept rather quickly believe it or not!
Attached is the blank grid, the coordinate list (2 per page so you can conserve paper since this will get thrown away once complete anyway), and the finished product so you know what it should look like. I let my kinders draw on whiskers and decorate his eyes/hat a little more if they want once they're finished and I have checked that they plotted correctly! This is a great skill to get them working on young! Enjoy!
