This is a project I did with my students while teaching angles. My students were grouped into 6 groups with 4 students in each group. They built a catapult using the materials listed on the slide. They then tested their catapults out and shot marshmallows.
We related this to angles by using a protractor and pulling the catapults back different degrees. We then compared the degrees and distances to see which degree made the marshmallow go the highest or the farthest.
