This product is a lab designed for the 5 catapult set of Catapults that launch foam cats. I can no longer find these toys anywhere which is why this activity is now free. If you can find them, they are so much fun! You need one catapult per group. If you do the bonus at the end, each group will need 8 - 10 of them but you can round robin the activity to use what you have.
The catapults have two levers: orange = force and has five settings, green = angle and has five settings. Students investigate the effect of force and angle on vertical and horizontal throw distances and graph their data. This is a fun lab and the toys are remarkably consistent.
