Catch-22 Quizzes Preview
Over the course of teaching Catch-22 over 9 years, I’ve had the occasional need to check to see if my students were up to date on their current reading. Hence these 15 or so quizzes. They are mostly organized by chapters, though I did a few based simply on page numbers. All have keys included.
The quizzes are mostly reading checkups, designed to make sure the students were reading and not simply SparkNoting. In many cases I made a couple variations of the same quiz, some with new questions, or some with simply the order flipped around.
Hopefully this will help keep your students honest. But of course they all read each night, don’t they?
The format of the quizzes is designed to be something of a bell warm-up: five questions (typically), either multiple choice or short answer. In the case of the short answer variety, I usually include a name bank to help with misspellings (and to jog their memories).
There are 21 quizzes in all (but as already noted, some are just variations of previous quizzes).
Note that these quizzes were written with the Simon and Schuster paperback edition in mind. Other versions should work fine with these, with the exception of 3 (of 21) quizzes that are based on page numbers.
