Categories speech therapy activities packet- sort by category, category naming, and categorizing activities!
This categories packet utilizes movement- based activities (such as exercises and yoga poses) to engage your students while they practice category skills such as:
identifying the category an item belongs to
which one doesn't belong?
similarities and differences
Each category skill targeted is paired with an exercise or yoga stretch (for example, a student may be asked, “Tell me what category it’s in” before completing 10 jumping jacks). Engage your special education, preschool, or speech and language therapy students- get them moving with this fun-filled packet!
Categories targeted in this speech and language therapy movement learning packet include but are not limited to:
clothing, zoo animals, farm animals, forest animals, food (vegetables, fruit, protein, grains), furniture, sports equipment, school supplies, gardening tools, shapes
This categories packet is no prep. I recommend printing all of the sheets and laminating them so you can use a dry erase marker to cross out, check off, circle, or trace lines to answer choices once completed.
