Continue to work on newly acquired skills all through the year! Don't let your students regress. Keep those skills fresh by reviewing with seasonal materials such as this Winter Categorizing by Attributes! Teach or review the skill of categorizing and language processing.
In this cut and paste activity, the student will be hanging hats, mittens, sweaters and coats on a clothesline. They will select 4 items that fit a specific attribute and glue them to the designated clothesline. There are two clotheslines per page which present two contrasting attributes to consider. There are 10 pictured items to cut out but only 8 will fit the categories because 2 are foils. This activity creates incidental learning of the concept what does not belong!
This download gives you 20 pages in color and 20 pages in black and white!
Included also is an answer sheet so you won't have to guess what words the pictures represent or if it belongs because they are clearly marked in red!
Here are the 20 attributes covered:
These can be used as full sheet activities or printed as 2 pages on one sheet, cut apart and made into a little student workbook.
