PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Using newspapers in the classroom is not a new idea. But, here is a unique way to use them--in a group activity. Young historians will use their critical thinking skills to find articles that satisfy their topic. Is it a state or local issue? Is it a human interest story? Is it domestic policy? Or foreign policy?

Groups will pore through newspapers in order to create a poster for their topic. They will research the topic in order to explain its meaning to their classmates. They will read partner choices of articles for relevance. They will have fun learning without even realizing it. And YOU will have some work to display in the classroom as well as some ready made discussion topics!
