Fun and interactive category sorting activity for those with special needs such as autism or young learners. This activity is one that is not only fun, but informative and will allow your students to have a better understanding of the concept of categories.
After teaching your students about category's, put them in to groups in an independent work place and have them sort the images in to the required categories.
The category sheets are bright and colourful with the category name and a picture so your students don't need to read to know what category it is. The pictures are real (not clip-art)
For the best effect, print these on photo paper and then laminate and cut out the pictures. Attach Velcro to each box of each category and then to the back of each of the photos so your students can attach them and move them. Alternatively, just print them out, cut up the photos and then have your students glue them to the correct category boxes.
