You've learned letters! You've learned sounds! Now it's time to make the leap into writing... but how? Caterpillar Phonics is a fun center to help students hear and write the sounds in words. Using a dry erase maker, students write the sounds they hear when they say "slow motion" words on the laminated file folder. If the number of sounds matches the caterpillar on the card, they may transfer it onto their worksheet (see picture).
This is for early learners ready to write. Three of the pre-made worksheet pages are three-letter CVC words. The other two pre-made worksheets have challenge words for learners ready to make four to six letter words with the primary sounds.
A PDF with twenty-four printable 8.5" x 11" pages including a cover page, an insert page, 7 pre-made worksheets, two make-your-own worksheets, two objective and activities pages, helpful hints and answer key pages. Common core standards on each activity page.
Lamination required for file folder.
Colors may not print exactly as they appear on your screen.
