I love picture books, so I created this short unit on the book "Bedhead."
My kids LOVED it and loved the onomatopoeia activity after we read the book.
I broke my kids up in groups and made extra copies of the matching cards and had them race to see who could match up the definitions and examples the quickest.
-Figurative Language - matching cards with examples from the book, and an onomatopoeia drawing sheet.
-Plot diagram paper with cause/effect, main idea & supporting detail, and other reading skills.
-QR codes for the book trailer for "Bedhead"
-QR code for the book read aloud on YouTube. The QR code will not take students to YouTube, but to a separate drive that is open to all students and devices. This is GREAT for differentiating for students. If someone needs to reread the story or listen to it, they can just scan the QR code.
