This interactive SMARTboard lesson provides practice in identifying the cause and the effect in sentences. Students will decide if the red part of the sentence is the cause or the effect. Then they move the bug to the frog. If they are correct, the frog will "eat" the bug and it will disappear. If they are not correct, the bug will bounce back allowing them to look at the sentence again. In addition, there is a direct link to an interactive game website with a cause and effect game. Because slides are self checking, this is easily used as either a large group, teacher directed minilesson, practice in a smaller group, or independently in a center or station. Use it as a mini lesson and then move it to a center or station for the week for continued practice! Created with Smart Notebook 11.
