After teaching about cause and effect, students match causes to effects.
There are two sheets included in this purchase. Each sheet contains 8 causes and 8 effects that students must match up. The sheets are meant to be cut apart.
One sheet is is easier to read and one sheet has some more challenging words. For example, one cause and effect pair reads "I got a bug bite...My leg had a bump" and the more challenging pair on the other sheet reads "I got bitten by a mosquito...My leg was itchy."
You can use this resource in several ways. The cards can be run on card stock and laminated to use as a matching game (or concentration). Students can also cut the cards apart and glue them down with their matches, and you can even have the students illustrate what they visualize when they read the cause and effect. This could also be used as a small group activity.
This is an editable word document (so you can change the font or specific words if you so choose).
