For the Bilingual Teacher!
Here is a fun and engaging cause and effect matching game in Spanish! This activity can be used as a whole or small group reading lesson.
• 30 cause and effect cards (15 “cause” cards and 15 “effect” cards)
• Graphic organizers for students to categorize cause/effect relationship. I have also used these worksheets to write out sentences using a linking word.
• Instructions (activity cards) on how to use cause/effect cards
Encourage kids to work on reading comprehension with focus on cause and effect. In the first cause and effect worksheet, students will read through a short story and then answer questions based on the characters' actions. The second includes a sentence or two, then students answer questions and determine cause or effect within the sentence.
• Table outlining key words/phrases that help determine cause or effect.
