This project is a project that I use to teach an overview of the Causes of World War I. There are 8 events that students research information on. When they are finished I have them write an overall summary of the Causes of the Great War. This is a very STUDENT-CENTERED activity. There is a rubric included for easy grading. You can scale the score to fit points for your class. The directions are simple, and provide for a lot of student CREATIVITY!
The eight events that students investigate are:
System of Alliances
Assassination of Franz Ferdinand
Austria-Hungary Declares War on Serbia
Rest of Alliances go to War
...and America Stays Neutral.
Enjoy this lesson! This activity is great for VISUAL AND VERBAL LEARNERS!
