This resource is aligned to the NEW TN Social Studies Standards for 4th grade.

This product includes four pages worth of nonfiction text. After each page, there is a page for the students to answer text dependent questions. There is also a writing response or a primary source activity to go with the text dependent questions.
When I created this product, I kept in mind the types of ELA questions the students would see on the TNReady test. I have mimicked some of these questions to mirror TNReady. There are also writing opportunities in this product to have the students writing across the curriculum.
There are also flaps for an Interactive Notebook activity that aligns with the text if you are interested in this. This would be a great way to do an exit ticket, partner/group work, or a culminating activity.
