Product Description
Causes of the American Revolution Flip Book!
Fold your piece of paper four times, unravel it, fold it in half long ways (hot dog style), and cut eight flaps for the eight causes. Your only requirements are to label each cause in chronological order, and include a written description and visual for all eight causes. I'd like you to use my descriptions, but you can definitely add to them if you'd like. How you design your flip book is totally up to you! Challenge yourself and include the year to transform it into time line! The eight causes and descriptions are listed below in chronological order for you. Your visuals can be really simple, but obvious thought and effort are required. I suggest browsing through pages 268-280 of your red book, chapter ten of your History Alive book (or my PowerPoint if a CPU is available) as you go along to get some ideas. Enjoy!

French and Indian War- taxing colonists to pay for war
Proclamation of 1763- prevented colonists from settling west of Appalachian Mountains
Quartering Act- British Soldiers housed in colonists' homes
Stamp Act- taxes on all printed materials
Townsend Act- taxes on all imported goods
Boston Massacre- colonists shot by British soldiers
Boston Tea Party- colonists protest tax on tea
Intolerable Acts- King's punishment to colonists for Boston Tea Party
