This printable is the directions to a Role-Audience-Format-Topic project involving the Fugitive Slave Law and Uncle Tom's Cabin. Students are to pretend they are antebellum poster designers. Students get to pick their role (pro-slavery or anti-slavery), audience (people of the north or people of the South, and topic (Fugitive Slave Law or Uncle Tom's Cabin) and create a propaganda poster that fits the choices they made. It is to be used in conjunction with Causes of the Civil War: Fugitive Slave Law RAFT Activity Power Point that is also available which includes directions for a reflection essay about their completed posters.
