This unit covers 13 short stories that can be categorized as cautionary tales.
This unit comes with a suggested calendar, an introductory slides presentation, two activities for each story, an answer key for all story analysis charts, a final essay prompt, and self-edit slides for that essay. One of the two activities provided for each story is a story analysis chart.
The chart was designed based on the Common Core State Standards for 9-12 literature. The preview is an example of this chart. The other activities include art, creating a brochure, answering questions, analyzing poetry, and creative writing.
Most of the stories could be used for both junior high and high school, but some stories may be better suited for high school students. I suggest you read the stories before purchasing this unit to determine if they will work for your students.
This unit was designed to be used by me on Google Classroom, but it does not need to be used that way. It is easily adaptable.
