PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

** The preview is an example of a finished worksheet**

This art unit begins with a study of the earliest form of art: cave painting. Why were they made? Why were they important? Then it allows students to choose: if they were a caveman would they be a hunter or a gatherer? Day one, students complete a worksheet as a hunter or gatherer, while each student comes up to get their hand painted for their final project. Day two and three work on the final project which has four areas: our tribe (we used a sunshine) our personal symbol (inside their hand print) a portrait of ourselves as a hunter or gatherer, and an animal that we would be interested in.
