Create a foldable product that highlights the cell cycle at different levels of organization - Interphase/Cell Division, G1/S/G2/Mitosis/Cytokinesis, and PMAT. Once folded, can be glued into standard notebook or binder for review use. Helps students remember the stages of the cell cycle by creating a product they can be proud of. Included - instruction sheet with and without examples of cell stages, activity squares to be cut and glued together with and without titles, student sample of completed project for teacher reference.
Materials Required - 4 Colors of yarn (approximately 8 inches/student of 2 colors, and 4 inches/student of 2 colors), colored paper, scissors, glue, colored pencils/markers
To save on class time, you may want to pre-cut yarn and the colored paper for students. Suggestion, hold 4 pieces together and estimate lengths, cut and place into groups of 8 pieces for quick handing out.
Students may alternatively draw the stages of Mitosis rather than using yarn.
