Product Description
A detailed 40-slide PowerPoint that covers mitosis and meiosis. Through text, images and animations, this presentation introduces the following main topics.

Summary of Contents:

- Cell cycle
- Mitosis
- Meiosis
- Comparing mitosis and meiosis

Upgraded With All-New Visuals and Additional Content!

Prior to the update, this PPT only contained 20 slides on mitosis. I have now added 20 additional slides that cover all steps of meiosis as well as additional topics such as crossing over, equal vs. reduction divisions, and contrasting mitosis and meiosis.

In addition, all previous slides on mitosis have been upgraded. The steps of mitosis are now clearer and easy to follow visually. For example, for each step of mitosis and meiosis, students can see both the previous step and next step in shadow on the same slide. This helps students to understand that both mitosis and meiosis are fluid processes. See the PDF preview for a closer look!.

- Review quiz slide involving identifying the stages of mitosis in microscope images

Part 2 - Meiosis:

- Human chromosomes and number of chromosomes
- Haploid (n) and diploid (2n)
- Homologous chromosomes
- Why meiosis must be used to produce gametes (reduction division vs. equal division)
