Pigments are molecules that absorb light energy.
Chlorophyll is the main pigment in plants. This is what gives plants their green color.
Chloroplasts are the organelles where chlorophyll is located.
Photosynthesis is the process by which plants use sunlight, carbon dioxide and water to make glucose and O2.
Cellular Respiration is the process by which cells use oxygen to produce energy from food.
ATP is the energy that is produced from cellular respiration.
Fermentation the breakdown of food without the use of oxygen.
