This activity would be fantastic for Middle School! Some high schoolers might breeze through this too quickly, but I recent used this with a biology class with low performing students and it was the right level. It would still be a good review for high school students it just might only take 30 minutes instead of 50. I absolutely love these types of activity and my students do too!
Instructions: Print out the slides so that each slide is a full page. I like to laminate the pages so they will last for multiple uses. I will then hand each student a page and some tape and tell them to put them somewhere random in the room. The kids love finding tricky places to put them and it saves you from having to hang them all.
Tell your students to pick a card to start at and then to write down the question from that card on their worksheet (the bottom section of the card). They then need to look around the room for the correct answer (The top sections of the cards). They will then just write down the answers as they go to the correct cards. The will know they did it correctly if they answer all the questions and end at the card they started at.
I also have a Cell History and Organelles Test that is based on using this activity as a review.
