Students who are working remotely during the 2020 pandemic may not be able to do traditional labeling exercises in class, which might include coloring or labeling diagrams. This version is intended to work on screens. Students view a plant cell, then are given the task to drag and drop labels to another (similar) plant cell. Task 2 gives them the same image, created with Biorender.com but with no word bank, so students can practice word recall.

The second set of slides is a similar task but with an animal cell.

The answer key is included and also provides a link to Google Slide version which is available for free at Biologycorner.com. Download includes a PowerPoint version plus the answer key which can be projected on a screen so that students can check their own work.

Develop and use a model to illustrate the hierarchical organization of interacting systems that provide specific functions within multicellular organisms. Emphasis is on functions at the organism system level such as nutrient uptake, water delivery, and organism movement in response to neural stimuli. An example of an interacting system could be an artery depending on the proper function of elastic tissue and smooth muscle to regulate and deliver the proper amount of blood within the circulatory system. Assessment does not include interactions and functions at the molecular or chemical reaction level.
