This supplemental resource product is aligned to Next Generation Science Standard MS-LS1-2 From Molecules to Organisms: Structures and Processes: Develop and use a model to describe the function of a cell as a whole and ways parts of cells contribute to the function.
While this standard calls for limited discussion of only the nucleus, chloroplasts, mitochondria, cell membrane and cell wall, this product includes more of the main organelles and their functions.
Included are diagram posters of both the animal and plant cells, quizzes on both types of cells, foldable booklets for each type of cell with a diagram and function chart, instruction on how to make a cell model in a bag, a making analogies activities, an interview with a cell, researching fun facts, and illustrating one fact with a cartoon illustration.
