A fun Cell Phone Apptivity. Children are loving technology these days. Use this alphabet during guided reading, centers and as wall posters.
* alphabet chart for students
* posters (letter size)
* cards (2 per page about 7" by 4.5" each)
*flashcards (4 per page about 5" by 3.3" each)
How to use:
Posters: Use these to post them on your classroom wall for easy reference. They may also be used in a playdough center where students can trace the alphabet.
Cards: Use these during whole group or small group instruction, as needed.
Flashcards Tracing Procedure:
Trace each upper- and lowercase letter with pointing finger for the tactile experience (do not use pencil, crayon or marker)
Say the name of the letter each time
Point to the picture and name it like this… “R, r, rainbow”
Note: These are the tracing procedures suggested by Jan Richards, author of The Next Step in Guided Reading. She says that tracing the alphabet every day will help students learn their letters. She also suggests a matching alphabet chart and posters which I have included.
