Product Description
For upper elementary, but can be adapted for middle schoolers by adding additional organelles.

This product was created to incorporate Science into ELA and vice versa. In this project, students will be creating a script for a short play. The difference with this play is that each group’s script will require them to be characters for the different organelles within plant and animal cells.

Each group will cast their “play” by assigning a student to each part of the cell. You can have more than one group for each part of a cell in order to fit the needs of your class size. Once students create their cast, they will find out more information about their specific character (or organelle). They should use this information to guide their dialogue and actions within a play.

The product comes with a student directions page, character questions, brainstorming sheet, mini-lesson on script-writing, and grading sheet.
