In this Cell Processes and Molecules of Life Bundle, students will learn about how cells function and the molecules they need to survive. Taught in this bundle: carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids through a visually engaging PowerPoint, notes, review worksheets and lab. Then, in two lessons, students will learn how these molecules enter the cell through diffusion, osmosis and active transport.
I use these materials to teach my 7th grade middle school science classes about the organic compounds and how the cell works in a week and a half.
Included in this bundle....
--PowerPoint on Organic Compounds (+their history/discovery)
--Brain Exercise Review on the molecules of life
--Nutrition Article + Questions
--Testing Nutrients Lab (analysis questions, observation sheet, teacher guide)
--Cell Process Notes day 1 (how they work, cell membrane, diffusion)
--Cell membrane story analogy
--Fill-in cell process day 1 notes
--Cell Process Notes day 2 (Osmosis, active and passive transport, hyper and hypo solutions)
--Cell Process Notes filled-in
---Brain Exercise Review Questions
--Cell Process and Molecules Quiz
