This activity stems from cell respiration. It shows a cell diagram and follows a glucose molecule as it goes through the steps of aerobic respiration. It is great for review over the process and ideal for visual learners. This activity summarizes the three steps of aerobic respiration hitting key points. After the activity is done, students will color the cell membrane, then answer analysis questions. Students have enjoyed the project, it solicits good conversation between peers and ties cell structure, organelle function, and types of transport (facilitated diffusion and active transport) to aerobic respiration process.
