In this activity, we will explore cells, specific organelles, tissues, and cell structures and their functions. We will examine the nucleus, cell membrane, chloroplasts and mitochondria, and ribosomes in greater detail.
At the end of this lab, you will be able to:
list the major components of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.
Explain the functions of eukaryotic cellular organelles.
Identify main structures of eukaryotic cells including the nucleus, nucleolus, cell membrane, chloroplasts, cell wall, mitochondria, and ribosomes. Identify, draw, measure, and label various examples of the prepared tissues (histology). Explain features, functions, and locations of represented tissue groups (research).
