This is a 2-page assignment in Word. The KEY is included for a total of 4 pages. It directly correlates to the Cell Transport Open Notes, sold in my store under separate cover. However, this assignment can be used by any student with knowledge of cell transport. It is formatted as an electronic assignment to be used with a drop box such as Blackboard, Schoology or School Space; however, it can also be printed as is with no modifications to the document and used as a paper copy - great for absent students or for students who just like to put their hands on something.
For electronic copies:
Part 1 is the drag and drop section. The student drags the arrow with the transport term to the correct definition. Part 2 uses the same terms, but the student must be able to match the correct term by identifying it in a picture. The student places their cursor and types the answer between the two red asterisks in the answer section - this way the answer shows up in red: easy to grade and easy for the student to see that they've answered the question. Part 3 is an interactive website that requires the students to build a cell membrane - this is fun stuff! It is a combined 'lecture' and interactive with all parts of the cell membrane. The student takes a screen shot of the completed activity and pastes it onto the Word doc as proof of completion for credit.
For paper/printed copies:
Just print and use as a handout. No modification necessary! The interactive website can be removed from the assignment or completed separately. I've done this before - once the student completes the interactive, they call me over and I check the screen and give appropriate credit for completion. Or skip the interactive altogether. I love Word documents - so easy to modify to make it your own!
