This is an interactive lesson that allows students to do independent research on the different types of cells. Using the app, Cells Alive (accessible through laptop/ ipad), students will go to that website and interact with their digital cells, learning how all of the cells different parts work together. It has little checkpoints along the way, ensuring that students are understanding what they're learning. At the end, if you have time, it requires students to make a powerpoint/ presentation on the different parts of a cell, animal or plant.
It is a wonderful 2-day activity that allows students to learn through partial guided instruction and then collaborate with their partner to make a presentation over what they've learned!
