Product Description
This terrific set of task cards has many uses! The package includes reading selections about animal cells, plant cells, and cell membranes. Students will complete task cards using folding organizers, Venn Diagrams, and applying their learning by writing. Use this set with your interactive Science notebooks.

The package specifically contains:
Cover sheet, Teacher Directions, Animal Cell Drawing- with and without labels and border, Plant Cell Drawing- with and without labels and border, Reading Selection Directions, Reading Selections (3), Set of 4 task cards- 2 to a page, Set of 4 task cards- 4 to a page, Template for folding organizer, Photos in student notebooks, and Terms of Use page. Also, all items are provided in color and black/white.

Note: The ★four★ task cards have very specific tasks to complete:
• Task 1: After reading a selection about Animal Cells students complete a folding organizer. This includes drawing and labeling the cell.
• Task 2: After reading a selection about Plant Cells students complete a folding organizer. This includes drawing and labeling the cell.
• Task 3: Students draw a Venn diagram and use the reading selections to compare plant and animal cells.
• Task 4: Using one of the reading selections students write a paragraph describing how cells stay in balance.

As you can see these are task-oriented task cards, rather than a quick answer. This is not a traditional set of task cards. Each of the four tasks is time-consuming and one great idea is to have students complete all four of these on different days. This set is also perfect for using on a substitute day!

The SPECIFIC cell parts used are listed below.
****Please note that I did not include ALL cell parts. Animal Cell: cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, vacuoles, mitochondria, ribosomes, Golgi apparatus, lysosomes. Plant Cell: cell membrane, cell wall, cytoplasm, nucleus, vacuoles, mitochondria, ribosomes, Golgi apparatus, chloroplasts
