In this activity, students are demonstrating their knowledge of plant and animal cells by color-coding related ideas. There is a chart that contains organelle descriptions in each box, and students must color-code the related terms.
For example, descriptions that apply to animal cells will be colored red, and descriptions of plant cells will be colored green. Since many organelles are found in both types of cells, students will color the boxes BOTH colors (half red-half green.)
As a challenge, there will be two boxes left blank because they will relate to prokaryotic cells. There are also extensions on the back of the worksheet for early finishers.
I have found great success using this as a review activity of cell organelles, and it makes great, engaging sub plans, too. This worksheet pairs well with my science test that is listed in my store. :)
The entire activity was completed in Word to make editing or modifications easier for you. Thanks!!
