PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Since the Next Generation Science Standards require a knowledge of the organization of the human body as well as an understanding of structure and function, and Common Core standards require critical thinking, I decided to make a group project out of my "Organization of the Human Body" using construction paper. I actually just completed this activity with my Honors Biology classes, and it went quite well! Students met the challenge of making an organ out of construction paper that showed a 3-D image complete with the different tissues that made up the organ. Organs with outer layers and empty inner cavity were easier than those organs with parenchyma tissue throughout.
