This product can be used to help students self-check their behavior in their centers. I use it to remind the students of their expected behavior before the start of each centers rotation by having the students recite the expectations with me:
"One - I am in my center
Two - I am using my inside voice
Three - I am doing my work"
I am then able to silently use hand signals to redirect behavior - by holding up one finger if they aren't in their center, two fingers if they are too loud.. etc.
This is especially helpful when I am working with a small group.
